Legislation introduced to improve food safety and hold FDA accountable

The legislature’s main goals are to prohibit manufacturers from designating substances as safe without supplying proper notice and valid foodborne pathogens testing. The legislature also requires food safety testing lab information to be publicly available on the FDA website and subject to a 90-day public review period.
