Salmonella Outbreak Caused By Chocolate Factory

A chocolate factory owned by Italian food giant Ferrero has been linked to over 100 cases of salmonella spp. The company announced it would withdraw some Kinder Surprise chocolate egg products after regulators sought a recall. Regular foodborne pathogen testing is an efficient preventative measure to avoid costly salmonella recalls.
